Tony joined 3X4 as CEO in August 2022, after serving as a lead investor and Chairman of the Board for three years. He brings to 3X4 extensive operational and leadership experience and a passion for impacting lives through the intersection of health and technology. As founder of Alethea Capital Management, Tony has expanded the venture practice, leveraging its geographic and relationship access to innovators and leaders in the life science space. He regularly serves as an active board member for several portfolio companies across a wide range of strategic and operating areas. Tony is a Co-Founder of Just in Time For Foster Youth, a leading non-profit for emancipated foster youth, and is currently serving as a seed investor and advisory board member for Find Ventures, a Seattle based organization providing early-stage funding and equitable opportunity to entrepreneurs of all backgrounds.

In 2018, Dr. Yael Joffe founded 3X4 Genetics and now serves as its Chief Science Officer. Yael brings over 20 years of experience in nutrition, genetics, sound research, clinical practice and scientific integrity to 3X4.

Yael is globally acknowledged as a leading expert in the field of nutrigenomics. In 2000, she was part of the team that built the first lifestyle genetics test, and since then has been responsible for the building of many others. She is the author of four books, The Power of Genetics, It’s Not Just Your Genes, Genes to Plate, and SNP Journal. Yael has been published in multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals, hosts the Power of Genetics podcast, and is a highly regarded speaker in genetics.

Yael built the first online nutrigenomics platform for clinician education and has developed and supervised genomics courses around the world. She has trained thousands of healthcare practitioners globally, also teaching at Rutgers University and the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

As the first student to complete Advanced Manuka Translational Nutrigenomics course, Candice left her full-time dietetics practice to head up 3X4 Education, to help practitioners embrace and master the emerging field of nutrigenomics. Candice guides students on the science while training practitioners to use and interpret the 3X4 Blueprint in clinical practice. This inspired Candice and team to launch the 3X4 Community in 2021 – a first-of-its-kind, interactive nutrigenomics community where practitioners learn, engage, and share real-life experiences with like-minded practitioners. With her keen knowledge of the industry, Candice leads the design and marketing team to ensure that 3X4 maintains strong connections with both practitioners and customers. Candice is dedicated to 3X4’s mission: to bring the incredible power of genetic testing to the world.

Mariette loves to build novel technologies by cross-pollinating solutions from different application fields. With a Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, she has over 18 years of experience in technical fields ranging from smart prosthetics, biosensor development, wearable devices, algorithm development, and health data modeling. Mariette is a creative solutions architect and deep thinker, who enjoys solving complex problems to deliver business value. Mariette mentors other engineers and data scientists, through creating a friendly space for innovation. As an avid triathlete and mountain biker, she understands her own health and fitness data at a deep level, and applied it in qualifying for the 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Championships.

After obtaining a PhD in human genetics, and postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School, Gerrida made a career jump from academia to apply her skills to real world applications. She brings more than 10 years of experience in bio- and health tech product development to 3X4, with a big focus on health and fitness products. Thriving at the intersection of science, technology and design, Gerrida’s mission is to elevate human health and performance through cutting edge, yet simple, solutions. She continuously strives to build and lead successful high performing teams to accomplish a joint vision. In her free time, Gerrida is an endurance junkie, who has earned national colors in triathlon and competed in two world championship events.

Simon is a seasoned business leader with over a decade of experience in executive management and entrepreneurship. He is currently the General Manager & Head of Business Development at 3X4 Genetics, leveraging his extensive C-level management skills and business acumen to drive corporate innovation and strategic leadership. His strategic insight was pivotal at his first startup, where, as GM & Chief Business Officer, he spearheaded its growth from a small team and a single store to over 200 staff across 36 stores, raising over $10 million in the process. Simon has a proven track record in business management, retail, advertising, marketing, eCommerce. His holistic approach to business, adept negotiation skills, and entrepreneurial spirit have consistently propelled organisations to profitability and sustainable growth. Simon’s diverse expertise underscores his ability to navigate and master the dynamic world of growing business.

A self-described customer obsessor, Lindy has spent her career building and designing systems that assure positive customer experiences. She got her start as the “number two” employee at a retail e-commerce start-up, and led customer support and fulfillment teams as the company scaled up to around 100 employees. Working closely with operations and technology teams, Lindy creates scalable solutions through user experience design and automation alongside robust business processes. At 3X4, Lindy drives projects across disciplines and provides mentorship and expertise in customer experience, logistics, supply chain, and fulfillment. In her personal time, Lindy is engaged in the humanities (art, music, design, language and history), likes gardening and DIY projects, and enjoys hiking, pilates, yoga, swimming and Zumba.

Annelie is one of the most recognized international experts in the field of nutrigenomics today. Over the past 15 years, she has translated thousands of genetic reports into clinical practice. As an accomplished certified clinician, her experience ranges from critical care, to wellness support for executives, to sports nutrition for elite teams and athletes. Being part of the 3X4 team from the very beginning, Annelie heads up Clinical and Mentorship, and mentors the company’s business partners. Her ultimate goal is to influence as many people possible to make meaningful nutrition and lifestyle choices for longevity and a better quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys wild, long-distance cold water swimming – a metaphor for her personal ambition to push the limits past her comfort zone and to go the extra mile.
